Customize function not working/changing header logo

  • I have been trying to replace the logo in the header of my website but can’t access this, when I go to customize the widget areas aren’t showing, it instead says ‘Your theme has 3 widget areas, but this particular page does not display them. You can navigate to other pages on your site while using the Customizer to view and edit the widgets displayed on those pages.’ When going to the widgets through the menu they show as locked. Lost an afternoon to trying to sort this, something which should be very quick and straightforward! Please advise!

  • Which theme is being used by you? It seems that you are using free version of theme and premium version of theme will allow to edit header logo.

    I’m using Twenty Sixteen Child. Yes, it is free. I think I’ve been able to access and change the headers and other widgets with this in the past though? I am looking to change theme and/or perhaps use Elementor (don’t know much about this yet though!) at some point so it would be good if that sorts the header issue but for now just looking for a quick logo change really, if possible. Thanks.
