Customize manage_subscription form

    I’m setting up a new site with WordPress (5.9.3) with a theme based on TwentyTwentyTwo and I need a newsletter feature.
    I’ve installed and set up Mailpoet, it went very smoothly, I think it’s a great plugin.

    I just have one weird issue : I added the mailpoet_manage_subscription shortcode on a page, so far so good, the page renders and the features are working.

    Now I want to make the form a little sexier, so, following the article in the KB, I added the css sample in the style.css of my theme.

    What is weird is that the css does not apply to all elements : the input elements are styled accordingly, but the labels are not… Even with Chrome Dev Tools, I’m not able to modify the element style…

    What am I doing wrong ?
