• Hi guys,

since the WordPress update to 5.9 (I think) I lost the all sub-options of my design menue in my backend. The only options left are “theme” and “Editor Beta”.

    See here

This way I am missing the opportunity to work on the following topics and some more:

    • widgets
    • additional css
    • creating menues
    • basic site settings
    • As soon as I switch the theme, the menu options come back.

Could anybody tell me if they were moved to another section in the backend? Sadly, I do not find what I would need in the Beta Editor.

      Help is very much appreachiated.

    Hi @lenaschallhammer,

As of WordPress 5.9, block themes no longer have support for the custom menu pages that you mention. The equivalent functionality in block themes are handled with the new “Editor” admin page, where you can add and modify menus, add blocks to the footer and header area (eq to widgets), and handle other site settings.
