Customize Page Keeps Reloading

  • Hello! I need help. Everytime I try to customize my page, it continues to just re-load over and over again, as if it is a stuck or broken page. I am on the current version of WordPress (3.5.1) and I have tried deleting all my cookies, also.

    I am using a 2013 Mac and I have used it both on Safari and on Google Chrome because I was worried if it was because of my browser. It has been like this for quite a few months.

    I don’t know what to do. Please help!

    Start with the standard troubleshooting steps:

    Clear any browser, site or server caches

    Deactivate all your plugins, switch to the default WP theme

    Reset the plugins folder by using FTP to change the name on the folder to pluginsHOLD

    Clear any browser, site or server caches

    If that works, reverse steps one by one to see what the cause of the problem is.

    If not, post back with a link to your site.

    @wpyogi thank you, but it didn’t work… I’ve done that before. It’s not a page, but it’s just when I go to customize my site, it’s like the backend keeps refreshing and reloading?

    There’s really no way to sort out what the problem might be unless you do the steps above – and post a link to your site with no plugins and the default theme active.

    Its a plugin that you have installed. I have been having the same problem and i decided to deactivate Facebook Friends Inviter and immediately, the re-load/refresh on customization stopped.
    I think that plugin has some issues.

    It could any one of a number of possible causes.

    I’m having similar problems, this time my host has tried to help but to no avail.

    Is there anything else that can be done?
