Customize "Posted by admin" in TwentyTen

  • Hello,
    I’m working in TwentyTen theme. I’d like to keep the date of the post but remove the words “posted on” and “by admin”. what is the best way to do that?

  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme! Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.

    Another option would be to duplicate your current TwentyTen theme into a folder with a different name, then modify the theme information in the stylesheet.

    look for and edit the function twentyten_posted_on() in functions.php of the theme
