• Hi!

Love this plugin, but I cannot seem to get it to work correctly.

I am only using the floating and mobile bars, NOT above/below option. What I would like to do is customize the services shown.

I’ve tried customizing it through AddThis.com, but when I do that, I get the services I want, but I lose WordPress-specific customization that’s necessary for our site (not showing it on the homepage, only showing it on Pages instead of Posts).

I also tried adding the code directly to my theme, and adding code the Global API box, neither of which worked.

What’s the best way to get the services I need showing up in the floating/mobile bars?

    Thanks!

    joi.

    Hi Joi.

Thanks for letting us know about your issue.

It sounds like your AddThis profile isn’t set up for WordPress. To change this, under your AddThis profile’s options (the “…” menu, then More…”, then Profile Type) there is a WordPress profile type. This will let you choose all the same above & below locations for inline tools.

One thing to be aware of: the hide on homepage feature at addthis.com is dumb. It doesn’t know what WordPress considers to be the homepage URL and will hide the tool on URLs that look like https://www.example.com/ but not https://www.example.com/blog. You can still hide it on your homepage by manually adding your homepage’s URL to the “Hide on these pages” section.

    Thanks,
    Julka
