Customize Shortcode

  • Good morning,
    the plugin works very fine. As shortcode in member-page, I use

    [author avatars show_name=true show_email=true user_link=false]

    Is it possible, instead show the full email-address, show only a link, with which users can send a message to each other registered user?
    What I have to change?

    Thats sounds like an idea

    when I first read this I thought you wanted to just change the link text and I looked into the code and found I would need to add a filter which I will add

    But it sound like you wish to create a popup form that does the send using user id and exposing the email address

    there is a filter “aa_user_display_extra” that passes you a string and the user object that looks like you could use to add the forms you need to each avatar

    You would need to create some code to handle the form submit etc. so there is a bit of coding needed

    I hope this points you in the right direction and do post any code you create for others to use
