Customize Star Display in Child Theme?

    I’d like to customize the way the star ratings are displayed and attempted to do so by copying
    /includes/functions-rating.php
    into
    /child-theme/strong-testimonials/includes/functions-rating.php
    and updating the code as needed.

    However, this is not working. How can I customize the wpmtst_star_rating_display function?

    Thank you for reaching out to us!
    I have checked the file you mentioned and it seems like the plugin was not designed to have those customized unfortunately.

    We will see if that is something we can change for a future update.

    I was wondering:
    What do you mean with ‘customize the way the star ratings are displayed’

    It sounds to me like you do not want to change what is displayed but how it is displayed.
    Can you not use stylesheets and / or custom strong testimonials templates in your child theme in stead ?

    @hugowachters I wanted to add schema markup to the rating tags. My custom function in my child theme didn’t work.
