Customize the Home page

  • I want to customize the home page of Customizr. I would like to move the slider down about 2 inches to allow for some text directly above the slider.

    I am thinking that I should probably create a “child theme” so that these changes don’t get overwritten during updates. How would you suggest making this adjustment?

    I don’t know whether I would be better off creating a “custom template” for the page, or if I should just modify the existing home page? The page will be a “static” page and for the most part, there will not be a lot of mods to the page once it is created.

    Any ideas as to what would be the best way to accomplish this?
