Customize Top Posts & Pages shortcode

You can use something like this to customize the shortcode:

[jetpack_top_posts_widget title="Top Posts" count="3" types="post" display="grid"]

You would of course want to change the items as needed, the code above is just an example.

Based on this link (https://jetpack.com/blog/hooks-customize-top-posts-pages-widget/), there’s a way to filter the number of days used to calculate the top posts in the Top Posts Pages widget. The code for this customization is typically placed in the function.php file. However, I’m interested in exploring an alternative approach using shortcode parameters to achieve my desired outcome. I’d like to display the top 3 posts based on three different timeframes: ‘Top Posts Today,’ ‘Top Posts in a Week,’ and ‘Top Posts All Time.
