Customized Icon Not 'Sticking'

    Good morrow,

    I’m using the most up-to-date versions of WP.org and your plug-in for this. I located and downloaded a free-for-use icon for Etsy and am using it as Custom 1 icon to link to an Etsy site. It seems to stick for an internet session or two but will then disappear. Not sure how else to describe. It’s only the Etsy custom icon. I’ve tried accessing this from the machine the page is designed from, a tablet, and an alternate PC at my day job and they still don’t show up. I’ve tried turning off the custom options like fade, etc. but it still occurs either way. Any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong? Thank you! ??

    Thanks MailerDaemon. I can see the Etsy icon now on your site, however we discovered another issue: when people upgrade their plugins the uploaded custom icons are gone. We’re implementing a new custom-icon-upload-process, which we should have live early next week. Could you please then try again? Maybe your issue is then also solved.

    Thank you for the reply. I did re-upload/update the icon again today when I noticed it. If it happens again I will not ‘fix’ the issue until I let you know, just in case ??

    I didn’t think to check if the icon went missing specifically at an upgrade time but since it happens about the same frequency I’ve had plugin upgrades it makes sense. I will wait until next week and see what happens! I consider it resolved for now and have marked as such. Thank you, again.

    Good evening, John –

    Sorry to have to respond to this again, I don’t mean to bother. I want to let you know I checked in on the site today and haven’t made any other changes since the updated Social Media version. The Etsy items have disappeared on me again – It happened sometimes in the last 36 or so hours. I didn’t want to make any other changes until I let you know, just in case I’ve done something wrong or missed anything.

    It’s on the same two pages noted above. If there’s anything I can do or offer to assist, I’m happy to.

    Hi Adam,

    Yes, actually with the latest release the custom icon feature now works properly. Before we had the issue that if you update the plugin, your custom icon got deleted (we only discovered this last week). This will now not happen again in the future. However, for this time, could you please upload your custom icon again? Then it should be fine going forward. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Okay, great. I wanted to confirm and have the pages showing the error before I made any additional moves, just in case some additional troubleshooting was required. I will re-upload and keep an eye out.
