• I’ve tried to customize our Meta Pattern, and it worked, and appears on the Single Post Template propertly, but on the actual pages, it still appears with all of the original meta, thus appearing twice, and with information that isn’t desired.

This also appears on querly loops, see /case-studies/

I went to the Editor, under Patterns, all Patterns, Post Meta, and edited. It appears as it should, just the post date in yyyy-mm-dd format and “– by” then the author name.

    Am I doing it wrong?

    Thank you!

Actually, it looks like the issue was that I had accidentally edited the Meta Pattern when editing a page, and left the page open. The Meta Pattern had failed to save, and so was stuck somehow, not displaying the actual content.

This seems like it was probably some sort of bug in some way, but likely hard to replicate other than to attempt to edit Meta Pattern, leave changes unsaved, then edit the Meta Pattern via a seperate window. Perhaps this is desired behavior to prevent multiple editors from breaking something, who knows.

Hi @supaiku – just to confirm the situation that led to the bug… You had the pattern open to edit in two different places at once? So there was likely a saved version that was overwritten?
