Customized Way to Block IP

    Recently, I am facing issues with some IP’s where too much of Bandwidth is getting consumed and after reaching monthly quota the site is going down with error “Bandwidth Limit Exceeded”. I have already contacted the web hosting company and they had to increase the monthly quota.

    First time there mentioned problem was with Spiders and Crawls and they recommended to update the robots.txt file. I updated it and looks like issue got resolved. But now I see some random IP’s are consuming too much band width in short duration. I blocked 4 IP’s as of now so speed of consumption has come down. However, at least 2GB of data is been consumed per day and every day the data is consumed by new IP. Is there a way I can block these IP’s. I am looking for a solution where I can write the script as below

    Ex
    Data consumed is more than 1.5GB for last 24hrs automatically block that IP.

    Please help me with this.
