After the update to 4.0.5 the logo is persistent sizeable only with additional CSS, not with the customizer. The background picture is not visible in the output, although the customizer shows it. Reload of the picture does not alter this. Changes in the body font size or type are nor persistent with the customizer.

Is there a common solution for the new problems? I never saw this in the 5 years I am using the nice free version of OceanWP. My configuration of WordPress is simple, few plugins, everything is up-to-date.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @alrsl,

    Thank you for reaching out,

Sorry, but I didn’t quite understand the main point of your issue.

We haven’t made any changes to this section in the last several versions, so the latest version cannot be the cause of any issues in that area.

Could you please provide more details so I can better understand? You can explain your issue by including screenshots, URLs, or any other relevant documents to help us investigate it.

Alternatively, let us know how we can replicate this issue outside of your site. If we can reproduce it, we’ll be able to offer a solution.

You can upload your files to one of the following online services:
    https://postimages.org
    https://loom.com
    https://drive.google.com
    https://wetransfer.com
    https://dropbox.com
Or any other service you know.

Additionally, let me know how you’d like that section to look.

    Please keep us posted.
    Thank you,
    Best Regards

    Hello Shahin,

I described at least 3 issues above. Of coarse I did an AI-search with Phind, used Your help section and used my local LAMPP stack, but the problems persist since yesterday.

    • Logo too large
    • Font size too small
    • No background picture

    Customizer has no persisitent effect.

Here is my temporary workaround with additional CSS for point 1 and 2:

    img.custom-logo {max-height: 50px !important;}
    body {font-size: calc(1rem + 4pt);}

    Thank You

    Albrecht

    Hello @alrsl,

    Thank you for reaching out,

I need to see your screenshots.
Would it be possible for you to provide screenshots of the issues you’re experiencing?

The issue you’re describing seems different from what I can observe on your website; Also, no one has reported similar problems so far, and we haven’t been able to replicate them either.

If these issues are only in the Customizer:
To better understand the condition of your website and the issue you are encountering, kindly provide us with your system environment information. To do this, please go to WP Dashboard > Tools > Site Health > Info Tab and click on the button Copy site info to clipboard. You can send the information as code here or upload them to https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and get an exclusive link: https://i.postimg.cc/fbjtkFyJ/image.png (you can remove your email address from the content).

If those issues are on the front end of the site:
    1. The logo size I see isn’t too large: https://ibb.co/BKw4y9R9, but we do have an option to adjust it:
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/901-customizer-header#Logo-9hk6s

    2. Please adjust the font size for the body in the CSS by following this path: WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Typography:
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/896-customizer-typography

    3. Please follow the background settings as explained in this article:
    https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/898-customizer-site-style-settings#Site-Layout-kC1LX

    ___

Before sending those screenshots, please make sure that:
Everything on your website is running the latest versions (WP, theme, plugins).
If possible, perform a basic troubleshooting checkup method and make sure the issue is related to our theme or plugin(s). To do this, deactivate all other plugins then activate them one by one and check for this issue. Continue doing this until you find what product is causing a conflict with our product. Then provide the details as explained above.

Note: if you have any cache plugin or server cache(CDN / Browser Cache and Cookies and …), you need to clear its cache contents or disable them to see your changes.

    Hope it helps,
    Best Regards

    Hello Shahin,

yesterday evening there was an automatic update of the not so professional plugin DSGVO All in one for WP to Version 4.8.

Today the described issues are gone. I could deactivate the additional CSS.

Thank you for your assistance, I regret the inconvenience.

    Albrecht

    You’re welcome.
    I’m glad it is solved.
