Customizing Front Page

Hey all!

I’m looking to modify the Article Pictures on the front page, thanks to this forum I was able to hide the author, date and comment but am still looking to remove the category name so only the article title shows.

Also, the article title can be hard to see with pictures with white any suggestions on how to change font size/color or put solid black behind text.
