• Hello! My question is how to divide the home page in sections by the wp classic editor, with one section having three columns, another a banner image, and the third section with an image and text side by side? Or is it possible only in the Otter or Gutenberg block editor?

And how to change the background color for each section? I created a Media text section in Gutenberg but for some reason it does not look as good as the professional pages.

Could someone also tell me how to add text on the hero image?

Thanks for the information in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @themely67!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

Gutenberg is the default editor of WordPress. There is a plugin named “Classic Editor” that lets you use the older WordPress editor, but Neve is not compatible with it.

Changing the background color of a section and adding text on the hero image can both be done in the editor.

To change the background color of a section, click on that section, then click on the settings wheel that appears on the top bar and go to “Overlay”. There you can choose the background color of the section. You can find an example here.

To add text on the hero image, you have to add a “Heading” or a “Paragraph” block in that section. Then you click on that block and start writing the text you want.

    I hope this helps!

    Have a nice day!
