Customizing pages in twenty eleven theme and image

    Hello. I am trying to customize the pages for my website and nothing has worked with the forum suggestions I have tried. This is all new to me so please provide details on any steps needed. I would like to delete the “Home” page on my website and if possible (2) use a different image as the header for each page.

    1. One suggestion I tried was to go to appearance-> Menu and create a new menu. I tried this it worked, but when I visited my site the wording changed each time.
    2. I also see documentation on “child pages”… but the steps of this is confusing. I do not understand how the files are being saved.

    Any suggestions?? Please help (lay mans terms) as I have spent a lot of time on this and feel as if I am getting nowhere.~Santa2

    Hi ,

    I actually got some help from Godaddy…and used suggestion #1 to create the pages I want. The problem was that I had to use a different page name versus “about” which was one of the pages…it somehow confused things.

    I will close this and ask a different question.
