customizing the look of the gallery

    i upgraded to the new wordpress, and i want to customize the gallery look. Like smaller thumbs, less space between the thumbs, also when user clicks on thumbs, go directly to the picture URL and not to the bigger picture with post title and all..

    is it possible?
