Customizing the main Sidebar in 2011 theme

    Hello everybody here,
    After having recently created a child theme for 2011, I’d like to be able to add a colour background to the main sidebar.
    Is there a code I could add to my css stylesheet?

    After searching through older topics I found a code given by Esmi telling to modify the block starting with #sidebar nav but I can’t find it anywhere in the style.css of my parent theme (2011).
    Any idea?
