I would like to customize the message that shows by default on password protected pages with PPWP?plugin. I’m on the free version.

I login to WP dashboard > Appearance > Customize > PPWP Single Password Form > Password Form. In the box that says “This content is password protected”, I customize the message to suite my needs. However, I can’t save this. There is no save button and the “published” icon on top is grayed out. When I go out and come back in, it’s reverted back to the original message.

How can I save the changes?

  • Hi @wp3333,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

At first glance, there could be a conflict somewhere.

Could you please change to another browser and see if it works?

Which theme are you using, by the way?

@ppwp Thanks for the quick reply. I switched to Edge browser to try again. I also made few other changes in Appearance > Customize (eg. Additional CSS changes), so that the “Publish” button becomes highlighted, hoping that this would save the changes to PPWP message that I’m making. Sadly, same result, it reverts back to the original message, in all browsers that I check.

I’m running WordPress 6.1.1 with EDigital Market theme. PPWP version 1.8.5. I’ll send you an email with these details as well.

@ppwp Update: It’s working now. I updated WP and all plugins and it’s good to go. When I make customizations, the “publish” icon is available and it saves the changes. Thanks for the help! 5/5

Hi @ppwp, I have the same issue as @wp3333. My WordPress, Plugins and OceanWP-Theme are all updated.

How can I identify any conflicts?

    Hi Nathantracy,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There could be a conflict with your current theme (OceanWP-Theme).

Could you try to use some other default theme and check if it works please?
