    Hi everybody,
    I am using the Customizr theme for my Blog Harry’s TechBlog and I would like to validate cleanly for Google’s “Structured Data Testing Tool” (www.google.de/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?)

    On the start page I get the two following errors:
    Fehler: Missing required field “updated”.
    Fehler: Missing required hCard “author”.
    and on every single blog post it’s
    Fehler: Missing required field “updated”.
    only.

    Interestingly, the German translation talks about errors, while the english version seems to talk about warnings.

    I found a posting about the Twenty Eleven theme at technosultants.com which gives some details about the issue.

    Is there a chance to get these two errors fixed somehow?

  • Hi Harry,

    it’s normal that these warnings appear on your front page and this isn’t bad at all – it won’t harm your rankings. ??

    This data appears usually only on posts and you get the “updated” warning on your blog posts because the post date is missing this class:

    class="updated"

    You can fix this by adding structured data markup to your site.

    I recommend you contact the theme developer, he can help you adding the specific markup to the theme files.

    I wish you a nice weekend.
