• I noticed today that the page titles of my website are being hidden. This is bad news for sure.

    https://fyxtrpg.com

When I try to go to my website the page title appears in the tab and in the source at the beginning of the page load. However, once it is done is has been erased. When inspecting the element I see that the <title> tag in now empty when it started filed out with the page title.

I tried shutting down a number of plugins but that did not help. I was able to stop this from happening in one of two ways.
1.) Turn of js for the site.
2.) Use 2015 theme. This theme worked fine with JS on.

When I reactivated Customizr the issue started again.

This appears to be some kind of js that that fires on Document Ready and clears the page title.

Can someone please help me out? This is a huge SEO issue and I am not sure how to fix it.

  • Hi,
    Is this already resolved?

No this is still not resolved. I have not had much time to troubleshoot it unfortunately.

There is a javascript that is loading/running at the end of the Document Ready that is removing the Page Title of all pages. It is really strange.

I like to use WordPress SEO Plug-in and it has the option to change page title, hide them, and even more. You can add SEO elements to images things like that. Different themes may affect things, but I think you may get the results you are looking for.
