• The customizer is not working for my site, grounderssource.com. I don’t know what the issue is as I tried deactivating plugins and discarding the cache.

    Can anyone please assist me?

  • Hi Evelyn,

Can you please tell us which theme you are using.
Have you installed/Updated any plugins/theme in recent days?

Might be it can be Plugins/Theme conflict.

If possible Try to deactivate all the Plugins and Activate the Default theme like Twenty Sixteen/Seventeen and then check customizer is working or not

Let me know if any query.

Bfast Pro theme. While I did update the plugins, deactivated, then reactivated, that was not the issue.

I recommend asking at https://www.ads-software.com/support/theme/bfastmag-shop so the plugin’s/theme’s developers and support community can help you with this.

    thanks.

Contacted theme developers and it’s not a theme related issue. It is a WordPress issue as I tried to customize other themes, the customizer still didn’t function.

Don’t know what is going on.

    Hello Evelyn,

Sorry about that, ok then you can try:
    – Make sure that you have updated WordPress to its latest version
    – Update your active theme and active plugins to their latest versions.

There could be a few reasons why your Appearance -> Customize does not work.

    – It could be due to plugin conflict, or plugin outputting conflicting script in your
    preview.
    – It could be your server not having enough memory to run all the software installed.
Which includes WordPress, Customizr Pro Theme and your large collection of plugins.
    – Or maybe your computer does not have enough processing power to run it.
    – You are having a different WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL)

    Server Memory Issue
    – Activate Customizr Pro Theme, then deactivate all your plugins.
    – With all your plugins remain deactivated, visit Appearance -> Customize and see if it works properly.
    – If it works properly, there is a high chance that your server is not having enough memory to run.
    – To confirm this issue.
    * Randomly active back a few “large” plugins and check if your customizer is working properly.
    * If yes, this confirms that you are having a memory issue. You will have to contact your web hosting company to increase your resources or deactivate a few not important plugin

My hosting provider has unlimited memory and my laptops are of the latest processing. As for plugins, I tried deactivating all of them, and that was not the culprit.

It may have something to do with the newest WP update.
