Try a better tutorial. Your FTP username and password are not the same as your WordPress ones.

I know I have this problem when I have too many user names and passcodes. The best suggestion that I can give you is to make sure you have the usernmame for the right area or event you are using or plan on going becuase if you are under godady and the username or password is different from your wordpress then you will have trouble logging in to either one. Another thing I can tell you is to make sure that you write down all your domains, passwords, and loggings in case you forget because it is a pain having to go back and try to get them.

If you still need help let me know

Disregard the incorrect “tutorial” and see: https://help.godaddy.com/article/96

If you don’t know your hosting/ftp name and password, contact GoDaddy.

When you sign up under the different websites your username is what ever name you come up with for your specific website or what you want to be called. The password is any characters that is 8-16 alpha or numbers that you come up with to be able to log in. If you do not remember what you sign up as. Then you need to contact godaddy technical support and let them know that you either lost, do not know or having problems logging in. This site will ask you what and will have you click in the general area that you are not sure of what the password or username you used. See if that site can e-mail you with one and it usually takes about 24hours notice for them to email you with that informaton. If you do not want to go that route you can always resubmit a new username or password. Most site do not have a number you can call, but some do and see if there is one avaliable to
see if they can help you or see if there is an e-mail address that you can write and tell them you are having trouble getting in.

In meantime I will check the sites out for you.
You also want to make sure you have an FTP account to because that is also important.

You can also go to https://www.godaddy.com and click under support and it also gives you an list of categories for any help you might need.

if you make a mistake in your post, you can go back into your post and make any changes or updates you need to. Spell check is also available to.

None of your usernames or passwords are going to be the same unless you make them the same. This is important to either print off all the sites you go into and write them down in a book because it is a headache to go back and get passwords. Take it from I know.

If, for any reason your identification fails, then you need to re-create one for your account.

Try and see if you can re-set your domain; you webiste https://wwww. grocies.com
    Username: TShah
    Password: gotofish2
These are just examples you can use.

opps! Let me specify on the domain it can be just gorcies without the https://wwww.com

    The URL will be https://www.grocies.com

The server is just the website in itself. For instance; google, igoogle, yahoo and alot.etc…… to give you a few.
