Cyrillic Characters not showing

  • For three years now, we’ve been running a Russian language site and we’ve never had a problem with the Cyrillic alphabet showing. Then, Sunday morning, I woke up and found all the characters have become question marks. We did not do anything at all. In fact, we have not even done our update to the new WP.

    So, we thought that updated to 3.1.2 will solve the problem, so we upgraded. But, it is still question marks which are showing.

    I don’t speak Russian, but the editor managing this site is Russian.
    Any help to solve this will be appreciated. Thanks
