DA dropped 29 to 16 with Moz change
-
Moz announced a change in the way DA is scored 5 March (to catch spammy websites and websites that don’t rank for keywords). Info here:https://moz.com/blog/new-domain-authority
On 6 March (so day after), my DA dropped from 29 to 16! (it’s since gone up to 17). My competitors don’t seem to have been hit like this.
I don’t do any spammy activity and do keyword research for all posts and products, using Yoast to implement. Does anyone have advice on how to figure out what happened and how to work towards fixing this? Info:
– I comment on industry blogs, where the website field is nofollow
– I changed my wordpress/woocommerce theme mid January and the new theme is quite slow (particularly on mobile). I hid a load of demo pages from the new theme a few weeks after it went live, without creating redirects for all of them.
But I’m not super techy, so I may be barking up the wrong tree here in figuring out why my DA halved in one day!
Thanks fo any thoughts! The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
