you can paste that plugin code (see on the readme.txt or ddsitemap plugin site) into a template (usually you can use page.php of your theme). then create a page, and choose that template for your sitemap page.

I have the plugin and I installed in the plugins directory.
The wordpress is on localhost with XAMPP

How do I make the plugin work online????
I gues this goes for all plugins….? How to see the changes online.. i would appreciate a step by step procedure….

i am a newbie.. and ppl in the wordpress forums often overlook the fact that someone can require detailed help ??

meetarnav — assuming you are using the WordPress Default 1.6 theme, and you have the plugin installed:

1. Login into your admin panel
2. Click on Write
3. Click on Write Page
4. Click on the Code tab below the words Page Content
5. Put the words “Site Map” in your Page Title
6. Put <!-- ddsitemapgen --> in your Page Content
7. Click on the Save button.
8. Click on Visit Site at the top of the screen.
9. Under the Pages in the sidebar, click on link to Site Map.

You should also review the Installation instructions on that plugin page that simbian mentioned.

No luck :(.
I hope i am not taking much of ur time here… but pls see wht i did.

I have installed wordpress using XAMPP on my LOCAL MACHINE.
I have the plugins directory on my LOCAL MACHINE.
I have the above mentioned plugin on my LOCAL MACHINE.

Now the Options->DDSitemapGen DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE ONLINE VERSION OF MY BLOG.

I THINK THE PROBLEM IS HOW TO IMPORT/EXPORT OR SYNCHRO PLUGINS BETWEEN MY ONLINE BLOG AND THE VERSION I HAVE INSTALLED USING XAMPP…

Not too sure what plugin you use at wordpress.COM to generate a site map…in fact I didn’t think wordpress.COM allowed you to install plugins.

Please review Managing Plugins to insure you are correctly installing and activating your plugins.

Hi – I’ve followed the directions…I think fairly well. When I put into a page post <!– ddsitemapgen –> this is what I get:

I’ve even tried adding .ddsg-wrapper or .ddsg-pagenav to the CSS of the template and it doesn’t seem to help.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
