    Digests are triggered using the pseudo-cron built into WordPress or vian the WP-cron plugin.

    Both require a site visit to work.

    It depends on your version of WordPress when it’ll be sent. In 2.0.x it’ll be sent around midnight. In newer version it’ll tell you when the next scheduled event is.
