Daily menu for restaurant

  • Hi,
    I try to find any solution for student canteen offering daily menu.

    The canteen offers more daily dishes (eg 3 soups and 4 main dishes), not only one. What they look for is possibility:

    • that webpage shows only menu of the day (all dishes)
    • idealy the possibility to import the menus in advance from eg. excel sheet or similar

    There are some daily menu plugins, but a) very old/untested/not-updated and b) very limited. The main limitation of what I found is that there is possible to show only one dish a day – thats a big problem. they have no import options (not so big deal).

    I tried to use plugins for deals of the day (coupons etc.) but they are totally not suitable.

    Any idea for paid (or free?) plugin?

  • I would try an events calendar. Use a List View and set the number of days to show to 1.

    How about one of the many calendar plugins? That gives you the the ability to post whatever you want and show it in various calendar formats, do color coding by categories, etc.
