This plugin is very dangerous. It will completely block you from removing it without going through a highly complicated process on your hosting platform. It blocks you from accessing it without a key it says it provides but does not. Support is very weak, claiming they can’t help you! DO NOT USE.

Unfortunately, for anyone having the displeasure of reading this, it’s not a review, but closer to a series of misleading and malicious statements.

The large amount overwhelmingly positive reviews for our work suggests the opposite of the views expressed here.

It appears the author has locked themselves out of the plugin when using a security feature of the plugin.

The “key” being referred to here is like a password, that the admin sets themselves, and it helps prevent unauthorised access to the plugin. Great feature, but if you forget or lose your key, you can get locked out. But there’s a way back in, which appears to have frustrated the author, unfortunately.

If the author contacted support seeking help, even while not a pro subscriber, we would nearly always assist. Unless the requests are blatantly rude, perhaps.

If anyone reading this has any questions, please feel free to reach out to us and we’ll help ??

Responding to a user review with condescension and ridicule is poor business conduct and corroborates the reviewer’s negative experience with the company. The reviewer of course contacted support before submitting the review, and as the review states was never provided with either the opportunity to create nor the assignment of any such key as required to remove or access the plugin. If the company’s response to the review had been friendly and helpful rather than vindictive and accusatory, it might have supported the company’s claim to being willing to assist. LOL

There was nothing condescending or ridiculing in my response. You may feel otherwise, but that doesn’t make it so.

I responded to your post for the purposes of clarifying things for potential readers of your review and laid out clearly the misunderstanding you have about how the Security Admin key works.

Our helpdesk records indicate you were given a full and complete response to your ticket sent to our helpdesk. You didn’t respond to it to say you needed further help or clarification, except to respond a few days later with an email of 5 words: “This has not been resolved”. That was the last we heard from you, 20 days ago.

As our response stated, the admininstrator creates the key. You may dispute that, but unfortunately the only way to prove this to you is for you to read the source code. It’s all in there.

I’m sorry you haven’t had a great experience with the plugin, but your attitude towards has been none-too-friendly from the outset, but we have responded politely and with the information you needed when you asked.

As a small business owner yourself, you can try to imagine how you’d respond if someone reached out to you for help, with the tone and the manner you have done with us. Yet we helped you anyway.

    Best of luck out there.

This isn’t a review – it’s a direct attack. I’ve been using this plugin for years, and it’s only gotten better with time. RTFM springs to mind here.
