Hi, I’m new to WordPress and CSS and am trying to alter the great Dark Maple template for my site, https://www.vmarksthespot.com. The site’s far from done, but there are two things that are stumping me:

    1. There’s a small brown rectangle at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar, and I can’t figure where in the CSS to change the color.

    2. Also, when you click on “Comments” there’s some coding in the Leave a Comment section that I can’t seem to hide.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hey, moshu – you around? This one’s tailor-made for you….

Keep checking back, moshu’s the DarkMaple guru and is around a lot….

    1. The original theme came with an “images” folder where there was (is?) an image file called bgle.gif. Take a look at it and replace it with an image of the same size having the colour of your sidebar. Alternatively, if you change its name, change the filename in the style.css – line 29.
    2. Those are instructions for commenters, if you want to delete/comment out – go to comments.php, line 56 and make them disappear ??

Hey, bro – knew you could handle that one! *laughing*
