Dark mode is default all the time

    Hello,

    I am having an issue where the default mode is always dark mode when the plug is turned on in General Settings > Enable Frontend Darkmode.

    Under WP Dark Mode Settings > Advanced Settings > Make dark mode default is OFF, but the default is still dark mode when visiting my site. Is there a way to change this?

    Turn on “Default Dark Mode” in settings, visitors see Dark Mode first. If Dark Mode is enabled/disabled manually using the Dark Mode floating switch once, it takes precedence and remembers the choice in the same browser until it is changed again using the switch. Even if the “Default Dark Mode” setting is turned off.
    However, if using a new browser it will default to light mode.
