I read in previous threads (from 1 year ago) that there was already a problem with this but it happened again and the solutions from the previous threads didn’t help me.

WP Dark mode (5.0.5) with the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin (ver. 7.7.0) does not work well now (I have both plugins updated to the latest versions). When switching from light mode to dark mode, only some parts of the page will be mistakenly darkened. See for yourself: https://www.kozmali.sk

Thanks for solving the problem (because EWWW Image Optimizer, I want to use).

    Sincerely

    Dominik Kozmáli

Just today I update WP Dark mode plugin to 5.0.6 version with the expectation that it would help, but unfortunately it didn’t. I’m just letting you know what version I already have installed.

    Hello,

Our developer team reviewed the URL of your site that you shared. They found that the issue is caused by the Custom CSS Code you added to your site, not the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin. We can assist you in resolving this issue by addressing the custom CSS.

But we would like to inform you that “Custom CSS” is a premium feature of our plugin. According to the forum guidelines,?support for commercial products is not permitted in the forums. To get support for the premium version of our plugin, kindly contact us through?our official support channel.

Hi @mdibrahimk48 , but I tested it, and if I deactivated the EWWW plugin, the error with your plugin stopped appearing (that is, dark mode and displayed correctly). So I don’t know what CSS you are talking about, can you please write it for me, what is its wording or send a screenshot of its form? Alternatively, where is the CSS located please?

    Hello @mdibrahimk48 ,

I deactivated or deleted all custom CSS (both from extensions and directly from the theme) but unfortunately the problem with Dark Mode still appears. Conversely, when I disable the EWWW Image Optimizer extension, your Dark Mode plugin starts working normally again. So there is a conflict with your plugin. Can you do something about it or should I look for a new dark mode plugin please?

    Hello @mdibrahimk48 ,

I am also writing the solution here in this thread (as I informed you in your helpdesk in the thread: https://wppool.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/24221) where I started to solve the whole problem. So that others who have a similar problem can read the solution.

I contacted the developers of the EWWW plugin directly, and they replied that the following lines should be entered under “Exclusions” (just as they are written here, below or on screenshot):

    /wp-content/plugins/wp-dark-mode/

    style

    /wp-content/uploads/the7-css/

After saving it and then clearing the cache, the WP Dark Mode plugin works correctly and displays the dark mode on the page as it should (all elements are dark, not just some). While the Use Easy IO function can remain enabled on the EWWW plugin for all resources ??

Thank you, once again, for putting so much effort into solving this problem. I really appreciate it.

    With respect and many thanks
    Dominik Kozmáli
