Dark mode only looks good when refreshed

    Hi

    My problem is that dark mode only looks good after the page is refreshed, or when the page initially loads and dark mode is already selected. If dark mode is switched off and on again, some of the elements don’t go dark properly. The side panels are the most obvious, but other elements don’t look right too.

    Apologies for that. I forgot that I’d temporarily disabled it while I tried to fix the problem. It’s enabled again now!

    I’ve made some progress with this. Dark mode looks great if the page is initially loaded in dark mode, but if switching from normal to dark, some elements weren’t changing.

    The solution was to nest those elements under .wp-dark-mode-active and assign my own colours to them. I haven’t finished working my way through, but it’s working.

    I still don’t know why so many elements were being excluded but at least I’ve found a solution that works.

    I’m having a similar issue – when my site loads initially with dark mode, (I am coloring only parts of my site) the color, mainly the background, comes in correctly one first load. But if I reload the page while still in dark mode the color changes and becomes.. wrong? I’ve tried fiddling with the same setting in the actual theme, but maybe I’ll give the wp-dark-mode-ignore a shot…

    I also have! the first load is a dark color, and after switching the slider, the color becomes darker!
