• Hello.

As with a couple of other comments here, I also have a dark Astra theme which has not integrated with LifterLMS resulting in white boxes greying out content. Please can you provide the CSS I need to fix that and align it with my global site colour scheme?

Separately, for some reason I can’t understand, course assets are doubling up, and on every lifterlms page the titles overlap my site header menu. This happens regardless of being publicly or privately published, viewed as myself or a student, incognito tab or not… So I’m not how to fix this…?

My website has been built using Astra as the theme and Elementor as the block builder.

Do I need to use the Lifter Elements plugin to actually make this work or will your CSS code solve this issue for me, including for progress bars and icon accents etc?

    Huge thanks for your help!

    My global colours

    Primary (Background): 1A1A1A

    Secondary: FFFFFF

    Text: 7A7A7A

    Accent: e0b985

    Link Colours: e0b985

    Theme Colour 1: e0b985

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Interestingly, within the Free Course Lead Magnet template, the “course information” section displays correctly and the page has my background colours and header fonts etc. integrated too

The same issues with greyed out boxes, accent and link colours hasn’t changed but regarding the course information section displaying nicely on the template compared to my own course page, I wonder why?

Is that something you can guide me as to how I can make that desired result consistent in my LifterLMS course and lessons too please?

    Thanks!

    Hi @tpk411,

We have created this help document at lifterlms.com/docs/css-structure to help users write their own CSS code to customize the front-end of CSS as much as they want. Please also checkout lifterlms.com/docs/add-custom-css.

We also recommend that you try to rule out for potential caching issues if the style problems vary from course to course or if your style changes do not reflect consistently on the front-end. In particular, you may want to make sure that you are not using server-side page caching. You can contact your webhost to confirm this. Please also rule out CDN caching by disabling CDN caching for you site (if you are using any).

For the “course assets doubling up” issue, we recommend that you install the free LifterLMS Labs plugin. You can then select which elements should not be automatically added by LifterLMS to a course by going to WordPress Dashboard > LifterLMS > Labs > Action Manager > Enable. Once the Action Manager is enabled, go to WordPress Dashboard > LifterLMS > Labs > Action Manager > Configure > Single Course Actions and check the checkbox for the elements that you do not want to be automatically added to a course. You can learn more about this in lifterlms.com/docs/lab-action-manager.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I have been using Labs but it’s not working as it should and I am wondering if the issue is anything to do with the fact that I have built my website using Astra and Elementor as the block builder, instead of Gutenberg?

None of the sidebars display for me despite following the steps in your Labs guide for that and I can’t see how to add them when I revert to the wordpress block editor either.

Will this be a result of using Elementor?

    Thanks again!

That’s a problem, indeed, if LifterLMS Lab’s action manager is not working as it should. Could you confirm if you went to WordPress Dashboard > LifterLMS > Labs > Action Manager > Configure > Single Course Actions and checked the following?

    1. Meta Information Opening Wrapper
    2. Meta Information Closing Wrapper
    3. Meta Information: Author

I’ve tested this in WordPress 6.4.3 using Elementor 3.19.2 and LifterLMS 7.5.3?while the active theme is Astra 4.6.5. The settings above were able to remove the duplicate “Course Information” and duplicate “Course Instructor” elements from the page. Could you confirm if you are using those exact version of the software I mentioned?

If this still does not work on your end, you can also hide those duplicate elements using CSS.

As for the sidebars, these are all controlled by your current Astra theme. If you open the course on the backed (and not in Elementor), there is an Astra icon called “Astra Settings” on the top right corner of the backend of the course. Please click on that, and on the settings panel that appears go to Astra Settings > Sidebar and select either Left Sidebar or Right Sidebar. Then click on Update to save your layout changes. To add widgets to this sidebar, go to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Course Sidebar. All this worked for me on my test site.
