Darn dotted line under my oist date

Try this:

abbr {
   border-bottom: none;
}

I checked in IE9 and did not see any dotted line beneath dates of either of the two posts.

abbr thing did it!!, what is that? and how did it work without a # or a .?

It’s actually an HTML5 tag – https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_abbr.asp – a bit obscure :). And the dotted underline is some browser default styling I think. The only reason I got it was that I had a similar one a while back with another one of these weird tags – can’t even remember now which one – LOL!
