Dashboard connection problem – New FTP

    Hi Guys,

    I’m just busy with moving my existing WordPress-Site to a new server and I’ve come across this very weird problem. I hope you guys can somehow help me out.

    So after moving the database and the site itself to my new server, I am trying to log-in to my wordpress dashboard.

    As soon as I try to open my admin log-in page, it starts opening the log-in page on my old server. Also if I remove my old website on the OLD server, the site on the new server does not work properly anymore on the NEW one.

    I hope someone has an idea what the problem could be.

    You may have missed a step regarding URl’s stored in your database. There’s some info and instructions here that may help – Moving WordPress

    Thanks Clayton, I guess I’ve missed that, yes.

    I’ll try the manual you’ve sent me and will let you know if that works.
