The entire set of admin contents I’ve been familiar with since 2009 is gone. The only option I see now when I click on Dashboard is “WPLook News.” There’s also a banner in pale orange saying, “WordPress 3.8 is available! Please notify the site administrator.” This leads me to believe that I am not being recognized as the site administrator, although I have logged out, cleared my cache and cookies, and logged back in.

It’s possible that 3.8 might fix this problem… however, I have no option to upgrade automatically.

One other factor is that I have a new computer. I use WebHostingHub, and am not aware of any issues with the host.

    Any guidance?

I just now logged out, cleared my cache and cookies AGAIN (the earlier attempt was yesterday), restarted my computer, logged back in — and yippee, Dashboard is now living again.

Don’t know what the difference was since I had done all those tasks before, but not at the same time.
