    I am actually running V2.9.2 but it wasn’t in the drop down list for the thread.

    My problem is suddenly on one of my blogs ( I have 3 running on the same hosting server) my dashboard display is screwed up. On the other two it is fine. It is only the dashboard display that is incorrect this is an image of what the top of it looks like: https://turnspain.com/csrb1.png.

    I get the same display on two different PC’s and with the following browsers FF 3.6 and 3.5.7, Safari 4 and IE7.

    I have checked the forum and found a similar post but that was resolved by changing the php ini file. This is not my problem as the other two bogs are fine running on the same server config.

    Anyone got any ideas please?

    GReat timing, well i guess if there were a plethora of correct answers given already the timing might be better but hey….

    I just started this whole .org thing literally got it working 10 minutes ago and I see the exact same layout as that picture, leaving me unsure what to do to fix it. some links dont work, I do not have a box to type in for new posts, etc.

    Please, any1 have an answer?

    I have exactly the same problem on two separate blogs, each on different servers.

    I tried manually updating to 2.9.2 on each, to no avail.

    I managed to retrieve the dashboard formating on one of them by disabling admin-footer.php (just comment out the codes that try to do anything). However, the other blog required that I disable part of index.php, in wp-admin, by commenting out the line

    <?php wp_dashboard(); ?>

    However, in the process of updating, I have lost the web pages. The wp-config.php file had a corrupted first line which I fixed, but this has not restored display of the posts. I can see all of the posts in the dashboard editor, but the web site only displays “web site coming soon.”

    Any ideas?

    Similar symptoms often arise out of very different root causes and, therefore, need very different solutions. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    If none of the above works, start a new topic. It’s impossible to try and help with 3 very different problems at the same time.
