Hi. I have a problem where my dashboard icons, including the icons for italics, paragraph formatting, etc, are not showing up since a plug-in update. Everything is technically working, but it is pretty annoying to have to mouse-over things to find what I’m looking for. Some icons, like Jetpack, are still showing up, but most of them are gone and replaced by little boxes that have F and some numbers inside. You can see a screenshot of the problem here:

I am fairly new to WordPress and websites in general. If you know how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate the answer in baby talk. ?? Thanks!

Which plugin update triggered the problem? If you disable that plugin, does the problem go away?

Which plugin did you update? A conflict with the new plugin update is most likely the cause for your issue. Try deactivating that plugin (and all plugins if the problem still persists) to narrow down if this is a plugin issue.

Edit: Sorry for the duplicate response, Jame’s beat me to the question as I was typing this reply =)

No worries, it happens around here more often than you’d think. ??

Yes, that worked, thanks! I wasn’t sure which plug-in did it, because I updated a few all at once. I went through and deactivated them until it fixed the issue. All better. Thanks a ton!
