  • I guess I’m just speaking from experience, and also reading and inferring from WordPress’s instructions for doing a manual install. I was struck with a dashboard lock-out this morning and had to find my own solution after reading multiple boards. You are correct, I did leave out doing the entire root directory install solely for the purpose of a quicker/easier fix and to lessen the confusion already circling this update of WP.

    This being said, thank you, Esmi, for correcting my post. I hope that this helps users who are still facing problems.
