Dashboard Link Disappeared in Admin / Permissions Error

  • Hi

    I have a serious issue with my WP Admin. The Dashboard link disappeared and I’m unable to update to 4.2 because of a permissions error.

    This has been going on for a couple of months now. I’ve turned off all plugins and that didn’t help.

    I’ve replaced the admin files with fresh files to no avail.

    Has anyone ever had this happen before? And is it possible to fix?

  • You mentioned permissions… Did you contact your hosting company? They might help you with that.

    I did yes, and they said everything was correct. Only started having this issue after my dashboard link disappeared.
