Ah, no, sorry. I was just replying to your most recently reply, I didn’t see what the original problem was.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

I have no access into any part of my wordpress pages, they all will not load anything, just blank pages. So I went into my host site, into the FTP file manager to the /wp-content/themes/ area, and it will not allow me to rename anything….

so stuck. any other advice is so appreciated.

If your FTP isn’t working, check with your hosting company.

My website is fine, my FTP loads, it just will not let me rename those files. Still am unable to see anything but a white screen on my wordpress dashboard, or any of my wordpress admin/php pages…. This started after I loaded the new update yesterday, and today have been unable to get past the login page.

If you cannot rename the files, it’s not working correctly. Where is your site hosted? Are you using a built in FTP file manager? If so, you might instead try FileZilla or another FTP client.

BTW, please don’t post in other people’s threads – I’ve deleted those as it’s not helpful to the person whose thread that is and just causes confusion for the volunteers here helping out.

I was able to rename my themes throw my FTP file manager (I host on bluehost) and after renaming, nothing has changed. Still only getting the blank white screen.

Did you rename the plugins folder? i.e. pluginsHOLD

Yes I did.

So the plugins are off and a default theme (twentyfourteen) is active? They should stay that way until this gets fixed.

What’s your site URL?

The Plugins are on HOLD yes, I do not know if a default theme is active or not. I believe a prophoto4 theme is active, as that is the theme folder that was last modified.
