• I’ve had many issues with updating WordPress over time, which is why I put off doing this one for a while. I really wish I did. I tried to update earlier and it seemed to go okay, but when accessing my Dashboard, now all I get are fatal errors whenever I try to do anything, including adding posts; it also still lists WordPress as the out-of-date 3.5.1 version. The site is still online, though (www.squabblebox.co.uk).

I’ve seen some comments about deactivating plugins first but now I can’t, as nothing seems to be functioning. I have backed up my database, as well as exporting posts and whatever site data I can, so if I have to reinstall WordPress, at least I should have everything. I REALLY hope it doesn’t have to come to that however!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    – Check the error logs on your server for a more specific error message. If you need help locating them, ask your hosting provider to help you with that.

    Good decision.

In the end, this may be your best option.

let us know how it goes…

Have you had chance to check error logs?
