Dashboard page will scroll when typing or clicking on content

  • OK, this started just a few days ago. I’ve been using WP for a few months and haven’t had any issues until now.

    When I’m editing pages or posts, the whole dashboard page will start to scroll down when every time I click within the content, highlight a word, or edit content. It does not scroll if I click outside of the editor.

    Its driving me crazy. Any thoughts? I have not installed any new plugins. I did recently upgrade to 4.1. Maybe its a default?

  • Just guessing a bit, but I suspect that is a browser compatibility issue since things like that seem to come and go as either WordPress or my browser gets updated. To check that, maybe try a different browser to see whether any of the quirks change…

    I’ve tried two different browsers and I get the same result. This is driving me mad.

    Currently running WP 4.1. Can I reinstall 4.1 without losing data?

    Let me add that the Admin column on the left does not move, just the posts and pages.
