After updating to Woocommerce 3.6.2 I’m seeing an incorrect out of stock count on the widget displayed on the WordPress admin dashboard. The widget displays 30+ products out of stock but the actual out of stock product count is typically 3-5 items.

I’ve attempted to resolve this by clearing transients and refreshing term counts but the issue has persisted beyond this. Is there any way to resolve this or is it a bug in the current version of the plugin? Thanks!

Do you have a staged copy you can work from? WC 3.6.3 is out now. Curious if it’ll fix your issue.

Hi Stef! I don’t, but we’re now running that version in production with no change. We’ve also cleared transients and other caches and the issue has persisted.

Have you ever uploaded your products using a csv file or an import export plugin?

This has been an on going issue for years and it never seems to get right.

I have a feeling it’s a conflict with WP’s widget. I saw your post what Andy chimed in. Wonder where he went on that one.

@serafinnyc I don’t believe so, unfortunately. The out of stock count appears to increase even when the actual out of stock product count is typically close to zero.

    Hi there @cdransf,

Are you still experiencing the issue?

I’m wondering if you could share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I saw issues with stock after updating to WC 3.6, so I’d recommend doing the following:

    1) Make sure your WooCommerce plugin version matches WC database version in your System Status report (WooCommerce > Status). If it’s not, please run Update database tool from WooCommerce > Status > Tools.

    2) Run Product Lookup Tables from WooCommerce > Status > Tools. Make sure that corresponding tasks appeared in WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions

    Cheers!

    Hi there @cdransf,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
