    Hi All
I have being keeping my WordPress site upto date and administrating it weekly without a problem for a long time since my last issue which locked me out. I have Jetpack setup and my IP whitelisted so its all good on my password for my IP. HOWEVER, I tried to log in this morning as usual the password did not return a “Invalid UserName or Password” error message, it simply did nothing.

I log in and I gets with url:

    https://jmulhall.azurewebsites.net/wp-login.php

Submitting my login creds, I got this redirect instead of my dashboard:

    https://jmulhall.azurewebsites.net/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fjmulhall.azurewebsites.net%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

I then went to my home page which is as follows

    https://jmulhall.azurewebsites.net/

I then stopped the website via my MS Azure portal window which showed it was running and when stopped rechecked my home page to find it is running and thus cached.

I then restarted my Web App jmulhall.azurewebsites.net and the cleared my cache from google Chrome and tried my password again. Again, no error message like “Invalid Username or Password”, it just redirected to the same login page with the same credentials BUT the redirect URL the same as the redirect above.

In short, I input the correct username and password via Google password and it takes in the pwd BUT does not bring me to my admin dashboard. Can you help me to log successfully into my WordPress Dashboard? Any help is appreciated. I don’t want to start again even though I have updraft backups.

One other thing, I have my site whitelisted and connected to my WordPress.com account. It was working normally until today where it shows red and an error message of “site not connected”. I also tried on the wp-login page to “Login via WordPress.com” and nothing, just that redirect with the Login Creds showing on the page like before. Have I being hacked or is there a more innocent explanation for this? If I can admin, the cached site will fall into disrepair and I will have to restart from scratch like I did over a year which is unacceptable! I need to understand why this is happening. Thanks again for any help…

Folks, this is now resolved. The lack of connectivity with my site backend is resolved by WordPress. It is either something they corrected with my instance or it was solved in a general update. Either way, thank you WordPress!

If you have a case of entering your user ID and password correctly and it does not connect to your dashboard AND not return any error message. Chances are it will correct itself after opening a query on this forum. I reccomend this course of action (ie. Open a query on this forum and wait a week to see if you have access) V FTPing into the backend and working on the wp.config file. Just one caveat, If you don’t have your home IP whitelisted via Jetpack, connection window on wordpress.com (security) or directly on the wp.config file, then I would recommend you do it straight away so you are not locked out.
