• Hello,

I can log into my site/wp-admin, and the pages of my site appear as usual. But when I click on Edit is say: OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND.
The url seems to go to different versions of /wp-admin/post.php?post=69&action=edit.

Also when I click on “Howdy, admin” (it goes to /wp-admin/profile.php and shows the homepage with OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND.), “customize” or the “W” in the left corner nothing works.

None of these routes allow me to the Dashboard.

I went to the FileManager and renamed the plugin folder in domains/site/wp-content to test whether a plugin is causing this, but this seemed not to solve the issue.

Any idea on how to fix this?

    Many thanks!

    Best regards,
    Anne

    Hi Anne,

When did this first start to happen? Were any plugins updated recently? Was core?

    Hi Jose,

A few weeks ago I could still log in. Nothing has been updated since then. Today I actually tried to update everything in order to solve the issue. But that didn’t change anything either.

Sorry for my limited understanding, what does “was core” mean?

Also, if I access Installatron first and then click on the link to the wp-admin it gives
    website/deleteme.ssoab78f4ed5a1245f5b729525465b61b51.php?8b68451e460542cab876218e3152cc781

    Best regards,
    Anne

All good, what I mean is was WordPress itself ever updated? Core files essentially. Those are typically prefixed with wp-* and will also reside in the wp-includes and wp-admin folders.

It sounds like your site may have been hacked. If you haven’t already try and follow this guide: https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/faq-my-site-was-hacked/

    In FileManager ? /domains/site.com/logs
    I unpacked
    Feb-2023.tar.gz
into site.com.error.log, in which it states:
    [Tue Feb 14 00:31:34.827070 2023] [access_compat:error] [pid 7062:tid ..] [client …] AH01797: client denied by server configuration: /home/…/private_html/wp-cron.php, referer: https://…/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=… [Tue Feb 14 00:31:40.661974 2023] [fcgid:warn] [pid 7062:tid …] (32)Broken pipe: [client …] mod_fcgid: ap_pass_brigade failed in handle_request_ipc function, referer: …/wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=…

Does this help in finding the cause of being unable to log into the Dashboard of WordPress?
