    Hi,

Im trying to manually upgrade my blog from 3.7.1 to 3.8.1…

When I go to upload the new files to the wp-includes/css folder dreamweaver crashes everytime when trying to upload the file called dashicons.css and dashicons.min.css…

This is incredibly frustrating as I have no idea why…
I have another blog already upgraded to 3.8.1 and dreamweaver cant even download the same files from that blog…

Any help with this would be much appreciated!
    Jason

  • In “dashicons.css” there is a large base64 string around line 7.(more than 20,000 letters)
    That crashes DW.
I deleted that code as I rather chose DW than web font.
I can’t guarantee there would be no problem, but so far no problem has occurred in my site.

Hi mate, thanks for the reply! It sounds right, however I had some progress with this. The plugin Podpress was causing all of my problems with upgrading and other plugins. Once I had turned it off the auto update worked so there was no need for the manual upload/download. Why podpress causes so many problems I don’t know but for now – Happy Days! – All the best!
