    Hello

    I have implemented GTM as per instructions but tag assistant is not showing the data layer tab when i make transactions on the website, the system doesnt seem to be recording conversions within real time either.

    Also I have errors with analytics saying that the tracking code is missing. This is not the case as it all has been implemented through GTM.

    Everything was working fine until the plugin update, the reason this has come to light is the website is due to go live and this has been found during testing.

    Any help on this would be appreciated.

    E-commerce data has shown in analytics 18 hours later so the system is working, its just the errors as to why this would appear and the data layer not show in tag assistant.

    Hi,

    Tag Assistant has a limitation (some sources say this is a limitation of Chrome itself) that it can not see and catch data send to GA using the HTTP POST method. This is used by analytics.js in case the data to be transmitted goes over a size of 2k

    This is usually the case if you have lots of products on a product page and you are using enhanced ecommerce. Product names and category names usually take lots of bytes in the data stream sent to GA.

    As you can see data is still being collected correctly although you will not see this with Tag Assistant.
